Dr. Andrea A. Anthony is a dedicated advocate, educator, and the visionary founder behind Guarded Wings Promise, a nonprofit organization committed to the prevention and intervention of childhood sexual abuse. Driven by her own experiences as a survivor, Dr. Anthony has made it her mission to break the cycles of abuse by equipping families and communities with the tools necessary to protect children from harm.
Specializing in early intervention and preventative strategies, Dr. Anthony emphasizes that safeguarding children begins well before birth, with strong family foundations and community awareness. Her work is rooted in the belief that through education, open dialogue, and proactive measures, the devastating effects of child abuse can be prevented and, where necessary, interrupted to protect children from further harm.
Certified Professional Coach, Urban Excellence Institute
Dr. Anthony is a Certified Professional Coach athrough the Urban Excellence Institute. This certification will further enable her to support individuals in reaching their full potential, particularly within urban communities, by providing coaching services that promote personal and professional growth.
Darkness to Light Facilitator
Dr. Anthony is a trained facilitator with Darkness to Light, an organization dedicated to preventing child sexual abuse. She plays a pivotal role in educating and equipping communities with the tools to protect children and promote healing.
President, Los Angeles County Alliance of Black School Educators (LACABSE)
As President of LACABSE, Dr. Andrea Anthony leads efforts to support and empower Black educators, advocating for systemic change and advancing the academic success of Black students throughout Los Angeles County.
